Ok guys, i've got an old computer sitting at home collecting dust, and i've decided that i'm going to run linux on it to give it some life. Specifically, it's a 6x86 166 Mhz Cyrix/IBM processor. Does anybody know if this processor will run into any problems when using it?

I plan on using the box as an ftp server and my web server....will it be fast enough to handle these tasks? Thanks

should be fine, i have a cyrix PR166 (133mhz) that i have run debian on
i was loading freeBSD onto it when i blew the power supply last week, so it is waiting for juice at the moment

i also ran red hat 6.2 on it in the past for email/web server stuff

go for it! :)
