I am in need of an FTP program for my Fedora Core 1 box. I do not enjoy the one that comes with the install. On Windows I used SmartFTP. Does anyone know of one similar to that? I need it for uploading not downloading.
Thank you!:D

Well, I don't know how super helpful this is but I will try. Someoone here once posted a link to a site that had TONS of program equivalents from Win-> Linux, so here is link. Uumm I don't know how you guys do it so a link shows up as "here" or whatever so no flaming me because I did this wrong please.

The FTP equivalents are near the bottom of the list.

never used it, but you can check it out at:

http://www.glftpd.com/
The second is easier to navigate.

SafeTP on Unix.

Dunno if it has a GUI. Try it out.
gftp is GUI, it has a nice GTK/GTK2 interface.
amgeex, you clicked the wrong buton and created created a thread instead of a post. I moved your post here.

gftp is what came with fedora core 1. What I need is one were you can stransfer more than one file, without having to manually stransfer each. ( IE: Dragging all the files and dropping them on to my site.)

To upload or download multiple files with gftp hold down the left ctrl button and clich each file with the mouse to select and then press the little arrow button between the windows in the direction you want them to travel.
If you dont understand this then I will make a howto for you with little pictures.

Type ftp://ftp.whatever.com in the nav bar (whatever being your ftp addy obviously), then you should get a login prompt where you type your username and pass click ok, the rest is obvious if you have experience using ftp which you do.
