Does anyone know how to get a netgear fa312 up and running ? i've seen tons of people getting help with 311s', but not too much with otherwise. those netsemi drivers didnt seem to mention anything about teh 312s'.

The 311 and 312 both use the natsemi driver. It is natively supported in the newer 2.4.x kernels, but will have to be compiled from source if you use an earlier kernel. Also, the pre-compiled natsemi.o module that ships with the card might have been compiled for a different kernel version than the one you are using. If so, it might give you nothing but headaches.

Your post is a little light on specifics, so please give us a little more to go on:

-what distro, version, and kernel are you using?

-did you compile the natsemi.o module from source, or is it supported by your kernel?

-if you compiled, where did you get the source, and did the compile go without errors?

-what program are you using to configure your network settings?

-what specific steps have you taken so far, and what exact errors are you encountering?
