I guess I didn't install x windows looking at the other posts. But none of them describe how I could do this on RH 7 without reinstalling the whole OS. All I have now is a prompt and typing startx yields a bash: startx: command not found. How could I install x windows at this state? Thank You.

Distro, version, name, rank, and serial number please.
Actually we just need to know what distribution you're using, and what version of that distribution.

Actually, he did say he was using RedHat.
You could probably do it by installing all the appropriate RPM files off the cd, in the proper order for dependencies of course.
If you've just installed, or you are just learning, it may be best/quickest/easiest to just reinstall... or maybe do a "upgrade" to the same version.

Whoops, that's what I get for not reading the message carefully.
Yeah, you'll need to install the X RPMs off the CD if they're not already installed. RedHat should have several X configuration tools -- XConfigurator, XF86Config, xf86setup.
