win98 dual boot

I am about to install rh6 on a win98 machine.I want to have it come up lilo boot first and just type in dos to get to wndws. I also want to divide up the hard drive 2gs linux 4gs wndws any thing i should be watching for?Also whats the best way disk druid?

I suggest you consider loadlin as an alternative to lilo, it would work just as well with your setup, it is a DOS app, so you don't have to worry about what happens to mbr if you recompile, reinstall, upgrade, etc. There are NHFs here, and I found the HOWTO handy. Disk druid works fine for setting up your linux partitions, but first I believe you need to partition your hard drive into a partition to keep win 98 and a second where linux will go with something like fdisk.

The best way would be install Linux as sole OS. :D

Seriously though.

Back up your files & favorites on Windows
Defrag & scandisk thorough
Run fips.exe from CD1
Shrink Windows partition & create 2GB+ Linux partition
Install Linux
Install lilo on MBR
Reboot
