In my never-ending quest to get good at things i suck at (read: web design... or anything that involves gui's ;p) I'm making a website, and to get some content i decided I'd make a "newbie coding tips" page.
You can see it here http://maccorin.homelinux.org/?page=tips
could people please post some more tips on this thread so i can put them on there? I seem to be having a brain fart.

You didn't comment your vimrc and yet you encourage people to "read it"?
How are they going to know that they need to put things ing ~/vim if they are going to use it?

i stated in the page that they need to put things in ~/vim
but i guess your right, /me will comment it now ;p
BTW: most of it is just the example vimrc, i just added the skeleton files and cscope stuff... and changed one or two things i didn't like over time...

Well if you want to make it a more full-featured vimrc, read my article (http://www.justlinux.com/nhf/Tools/Customizing_vim.html) on it :)
