CD/DVD cataloging tool?

I have about 100 CD's/DVD's with all sorts of stuff I've collected over the years. They're currently catalogued in an Windows app that allows me to search by typing in the name of whatever it is I'm after. Its nothing fancy, I simply type in the name of the program, say "KVirc" and the winprog will tell me which CD's contain folders and/or files with kvirc anywhere in the directory/filename.

Any suggestions as to what I can use to facilitate fewer and fewer boots into xp?

Try searching at http://freshmeat.net as I've seen loads of CD/DVD database programs listed there all the time.
