Yes! Finaly...First post from linux using cable modem

Ok...this is streching the normal first post from linux tradition, but I'm still excited. After many (many) hours of work I have finaly gotten my cable modem working with linux. The key I was missing? The little command called pump. if I would have typed those letters 3-4 hours ago, I would have saved myself some trouble. Ah well.

derango.. could u please tell me how u did that .. cuz i am clueless . i just cant get my connection going i am also on a cable modem .. it reads my card.. but wont connect
please explain if u dont mind . i am a ignorent newbie :)

Hmm... you could post a detailed explanation to How I did it because looks like many others are pulling their hair out with cable modems..?
