does yahoo work with evolution?

will yahoo work with evolution? im connecting to the net through the analogX proxy on a windows machine. if it does work, what would i need to do to set it up?


if yahoo doesnt work, can you recommend any mail sites that do?

I don't know about eveloution or your proxy server but yahoo does have a option to check your email via POP3. When you get into your account go to "options" then look under "Mail Management" at the very bottom is "POP Access & Forwarding" then click on the "Web and POP Access" and set it up from there. Then you can read your yahoo account just like any other POP3 email account.

ive tried that, but always get errors....i believe the proxy has something to do with it. i get lots of problems trying to download via ftp also because of the proxy..cant wait to get a router.

yes, yahoo works with evolution. I think the pop server is at pop.mail.yahoo.com or mail.pop.yahoo.com try both and see which one works. Now if only hotmail will let you use an outside agent to retrieve mail

i tried both, neither worked...i believe it has something to do with the proxy.
