Sup all,

Quick Mplayer question. When I double size or full screen a movie in MPlayer, the frame of the video stays the same size while the window size increases, filling with blue space. I give it a little credit, the window is doubling in size, but the video frame doesn't. Anyone encounter this before?

What you type ?
To get fullscreen I type mplayer -vo sdl -ao sdl (nameoffil) and it works great for me..

Hey there,

i have the exact same problem, i tried the surggestions, but none of it worked.

When i type the command that bdg1983 use, i get nothing but a black screen... well, i do get the sound.
I probably should mention that my box is an fairly old compaq laptop, but i had no problems viewing movies in full screen mode when i had windoze on it.

Any other suggestions is appreciated.

Emil

I have the same problem, with the window size increasing but the video size staying the same.

Has anyone figured it out already? I have the same problem. I tried messing with the config file, aspect ratios, etc, but no success.

I installed updated nvidia drivers and then switched my video settings to Xv and it worked after i reinstalled my mplayer. That is the only advice i can give you.

you need to run 'gmplayer -zoom' (without the quotes, plus any other arguments you normally add, eg -vo, etc). This will fill the active window, while keeping the aspect ratio.

Hope that helps
