i try to install fedora in laptop, but after the cd-test (where it is supposed to say "starting anaconda or something), it does nothing, whether i check the cd or not. not a CD problem, i burned twice and it works in desktop.

linux-laptops.net had a person with my laptop model trying to install linux. he got it working with mandrake, except he says the install hanged unless he adds "linux noapic" to the boot parameter. it didn't work with fedora. i also tryed linux noprobe.

what do i do?

It probably cannot drive your graphics card- try "linux text" at the boot prompt. This will give you a text install which is not really much different from the old time graphic installs.

Did you try any of the boot/install options from the Additional Boot Option link in the Linux Installation Guide sticky thread at the top of this forum?
