Install Alcatel speedtouch dsl modem with suse 9.0

Hi, I am a complete newbie with Linux. I want to configure my system to use my Alcatel speedtouch usb modem with Suse 9.0
Can anybody help me with some idiot-proof instructions?

Though for SuSE 8.0, it still might work for 9.0. From their knowledgebase.
