newbie questions

Hi, I'm completely new to linux and wondered if someone could help me with a few things to get me started.

Ok sorry about that, first question, I've installed a java console plugin on firefox but it doesn't seem to have worked/ or I've done it wrong somehow. I'm trying to use yahoo games on their site and downloaded and installed the plugin that firefox suggested.

When I go to the plugin menu in my browser it only shows qt, swf, wav, and some other music files extensions but no java ones?

We can't tell you what's wrong if you don't tell us what went wrong (errors).

I would suggest you to ask different questions in different threads.
