The archive file includes step by step instructions for RAID1 on SuSE 9.0. There is also a script that can be used with an entry in crontab to get e-mail notification of a disk failure. This file is nearly the same as the one for Bootable Software RAID1 for Suse 8.2 (posted on JL) except some minor corrections were made. If you find any errors reply here and I will correct.

Thanks Bruce as I'll have a look through your instructions.
I do have my main distro (SuSE 9.0 Pro) installed on my Promise TX2 IDE Raid Controller (Raid1) with /boot being on the onboard IDE controller HD. I can successfully install and boot SuSE as the TX2 is detected during installation and the required modules (pdcraid/ataraid) are preloaded through the initrd (initial ramdisk).
