Hi all,

The NHF on this site says the inetd.conf file is in /etc. I don't see it there and ran a "find" for it as well; no luck. I'm running Red Hat 7.1, has the name of the file changed?

Thanks Much,

Delilah

All I can say is you're supposed to have the inetd.conf in the /etc folder. I'm not sure what happened to it.

Redhat might be putting it someplace else, but if you cant even find it running the 'find' command, then it might be a problem.

Hi. You might want to look for xinetd instead of inetd. Not sure about RH 7.1, but SuSE and Mandrake (starting from 8.0 I think) used xinetd as a replacement.

Yep, /etc/xinetd.conf is there.
Thanks much.
