hi,
i'm trying to set the font in my shell....impossible !!!

i'm using mandrake 8.1 and it says:

Font "#^FL<SD$" not found.
Read README.linux.console for more help.

First of all, the #^FL<SD$ are actually unknwown chinese characters or something.
Second, I couldn't find that file even by using:
locate README.linux.console
So I came to the conclusion that there's no such file and he's bs'ing me.

well actually, no fonts work except the default. (small to huge work, but custom doesn't)

i'll try that soon...

hmm...I'm also using Mandrake 8.1 and I've got the same problem. I've installed chinese support as "other languages available". Could that be the reason? Maybe there're bugs Mandrake 8.1's chinese support?

Antialiased fonts in konsole SUCK! I can't use the midnight commander anymore because AA fonts screwed it up!

The weird thing is, when I try to change the font, only one is listed (that is, 'fixed'). So I select this font, and it works for the session I'm in. I SAVE SESSION and close konsole, but when I open it again the fonts are screwed up!

I dunno what's wrong or how to fix it, but you're not the only one having trouble :)
