When ever i try to open a program for example debconf i get the following message

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LC_CTYPE = "en_US.UTF-8",
LANG = (unset)
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory

What do i have to do this problem. If do need more info feel free to ask

Cheers

you need to set your locale.

if i remember correctly, you use localeconf to set it in Debian.

if you you can try dpkg-reconfigure locales
