Basically my mouse wont work in Linux - its fine in Windows but wont do anything in Mandrake anymore. Now it was working fine yesterday so I think it must be something I changed but I have no idea how to get it back.

Yesterday I was trying to get my mouse to work better so I changed it to a mouse with a scroll wheel (intell mouse) and after that it was fine problem is today when I booted in the thing would not work at all. I've used mousedrake to change it back to a standard mouse but so far its made no differenct (I have rebooted ala windows like which didn't do anything).

I use an optical mouse with scroll wheel and have Mandrake 9.0 installed.

The only other thing I did yesterday was install a newer version of Mozilla.

Thanks in advance for any help

additionally

This is a usb mouse with a ps/2 converter going through a KVM switch (which is a pain when switching) but I have not changed this setup at all.

Thanks for the response Kord65 - I checked out the post and was going to go have another try but when I booted up my mouse was fine - maybe all that was required was a bit of time and patience :)

I'd still like to know the reason it happened so think I'll keep digging.

Thanx for the help
