I am in the process of looking for a barebones unit that is linux or unix compatible, but I am on a budget, does anyone have any suggestions on where to look, I keep my eyes posted to tiger direct.com, I dont wanna spend any more than 89 dollars.....But I need a board and a case/ps combo.
any suggestions?

Ya gotta dig on Tiger..I get email adverts with deals all the time...sorry don't have one now but getting what you want for at that price range is not improbable there. Ask them for a catalog...much better deals on cpu's.
Just an example. Always check overstock.

Sometimes Fry's (outpost.com) has some sub-$200.00 machines for sale too. Yeah, not in your stated budget, but well worth considering since they come pre-loaded with Lindows. You could put most other distributions on the Fry's machine without a problem.
Sometimes NewEgg.com has decent deals on barebones systems.
