First how do i get a screensaver to work in windowmaker?

Next ?, I d/w a new theme and and put in ~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/Themes/tool...tool is the name of the directory with my theme in it.

joe@bud:~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/Themes/tool> ls
tool-background.jpg tool.preview.jpg tool.themerc

It loads the tool diectory in the menu but does nothing when u click it to change the theme...is there something i need to add.

Check out www.windowmaker.org. (http://www.windowmaker.org.) In the left-hand pane, click on FAQ's, then Themes and Dockapps. Your question may be answered there.

what about a screensaver? i did not seen any docs on that. How do you add a screensaver?

Another ? Is there any good docs on creating your own theme from scratch.

Xscreensaver is probably already installed.
Try running xscreensaver-demo in an xterm.
