RAID 1 Q's

Howdys folks,

Ok, I have RH9 box running in my house. I have it RAID 1, now this raid 1 is a Adaptec pci controller card. Here's the main question, can I add another HD in to the motherboard IDE controller? Right now the 2ndry master is my DVD-RW. Can I install my 40gig into the Primary master?
Any great help appreciated.

Do you already have other HD's on the onboard IDE controller?

What device(s) are the HD's on the Adaptec pci controller? sda#?

Nope, I didnt install the other HD yet.

On the Adaptec RAID card. I have only 2x20gig Segate drive.

Those Seagates are using sda#?

Adding a IDE HD (hda) should not cause any problems.
