Just bought Casio QV-R41 and started shooting pictures.
Filled up the memory card, and used the usb cable which came with the camera to connect it to my suse 9.0 box.

The Suse plugger detected the camera and mounted it, and I could browse all my pictures within 30 seconds after connecting the camera.

Afterwards when i tried the same thing on my fathers windows98 machine, which has the same hardware as mine, it took me 15 minutes to install drivers/software etc. and a reboot before windows even detected the camera.

That's yet another excellent feature with Linux; don't need to install all those useless and glossy programs that comes bundled with everything.

I like Linux!

Since the 'How I did it' forum is meant for members to post guides/tutorials/howto's, would you mind expanding on that? Please include a bit more detail. Thanks...
