audio cd

how do u mount an audio cd in slackware and what fs is it. I tryed mounting it as a data cd and it errored out

you can't mount a music CD, it has no file system.

Are you trying to play music or rip from it?

ether one would be fine but right now i just need to computer to regognize it.

i no the cd's ok because it will open on windozes

also i have the fs set to iso9660 is this right?

point your favourite cd player software to the device and hit play.

no, it doen't matter, the Audio CD has no filesystem.

iso9660 == data-cd file system.

i got ripping to work but with grip it says "invalid encodind executable."

Should that not be "invalid encoder executable" and not 'encodind'?

Go to the config tab in grip and then go to the encode sub-tab where you will find a drop down menu of encoders you can choose. Keep changing the choice until you find one that works.
