Hey guys,
on our main home directory of our web server we have about 600 directories.
I exported a directory listing to a text file using the following:
ls * >> dirlisting
This dumped a cool listing of each directory plus the names of the directories directly underneath into a linux text file that looks fine in pico.
I downloaded this file but it looks horrible in Notepad. Any ideas what I can use to view (and print) this document?
The reason I'm doing this is that our server provider upgraded our wu-ftp and deleted my old ftpaccess file with all of the ftp restrictions. If I can view this file normally, I can see which are web accounts and which are just email accounts (email accounts have no ftp access) THis would be a much easier way of rebuilding the ftp restriction file because, currently, all web accounts allow users out of their home directories.
Thanks for any help with this.
