Hi all,

I am new to all these and have heard great stuff about Linux. My previous PC Deaths (ranging from HD-failure to Blue Screens of Death were all stemmed from the ever-vulnerable windows systems...from Gates & Gang) were all based on Windows OS.

Still am stuck at the current predicament till I decided to get my act together and explore the world of Linux.

That's where I need you input on suggesting a system which might be user-friendly and preferably a Linux system that has good reviews...

Suprised on my research on Red Hat's customer reviews at Amazon.com ---only 4 compared to a bunch left on SUSE 9.0 release.

Can anyone advice on which distro to go with for a newbie?

Thanks in advance.

I like SUSE the best , but this is all a matter or preference.

If you want support stay away from Fedora as its not an officail product anymore since RH decided to go Microsoft on us.

I second SUSE. Speaking of which, v9.1 is being released in a few weeks. Cant wait to give it a try.
