multiple processes

Ok before anyone gets mad at me I want you guys/gals to know I've tried doing a search first but keep getting a connection timeout error. :mad:

That being said, everytime I run 'top' certain programs seem to be running multiple times (usually licq, freeamp, and netscape). Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I'm running Slack 7.1 w/ blackbox if it helps. Thanks.

Some programs start several instances of themselves for one reason or another. Apache and XMMS are two examples of that. No need to worry about it.
