I am running mandrake 7.2, and I have downloaded a patch "ip_masq_vpn-2.2.17.patch" so that I can use my linux router with a vpn. The directions tell me to run the command 'patch -p0 ip_masq_vpn-2.2.17.patch' from the /usr/src directory (which is where the file is located). I get the response "bash: patch command not found". I have references to the manual page "man patch", but I can't find that either. Is this something that I need to install? How do I find it and install it?

THX

You need to get the patch file from your install cd. I believe it's on the install cd,not the ext cd. use either kpackage the drake installer to install it.

Or you can use the script file in :
/linux/scripts/patch-kernel/linux
