i have done alot of surfing and checking out some cool screenshots and other stuff.
there is one thing i see alot of but do not know what it is called or if i have it.
it displays in GUI form the cpu usage, eth0 usage, mem usage and some other stuff.
can someone tell me what it is called and where i might find it?
or if there are dif ones what are they so i can make an informed choice
thanx

Closest thing I can think of is probably on your system - KDE Control Center. Click on Information, then click on whichever item you are interested in. :)

There are tons of other monitoring programs. Try a search on freshmeat. I myself prefer xosview. Here's (http://www.nord-com.net/goedeke/xosview.jpg) a shot of how it looks like (top left-hand corner). It's not quite as fancy as gkrellm but displays everything I need and can be configured to show virtually all the info available through the /proc file system.
