I just ran across this site (http://www.hushtechnologies.com/) and found it to be quiet interesting....perhaps the more so as Linux is an optional OS.

Ahhh...the sound of all those case fans wearing you down? :D Sure sign of a Athlon in the house!
Reminds me of a funny story. I built a Athlon PC for myself...which I am quite pleased with. I could not get a decent temperature though for the CPU. So, I went down to my local CompUSA and bought the biggest case fan I could find. I hooked her up to a regular power feed coming off my power supply like a dork instead of the one clearly marked "Fan". :D
Man, did that fan blow! That extra juice really made that fan work as hard as it could stand. Sounded like a twin engine jet taking off whenever I would fire up the computer. It was so loud in fact, that the constant whine gave me a headache. Which of course, was the catalyst for me popping the case open to fix it.

Sounds like my kind of computer. Maybe I spent too many years in the glass-house. Anything less than seven high-speed fans and the sound of coolant flowing through copper tubes makes me feel like 'something' is seriously wrong.
