How do I log in as root in Mandrake 10.0?:(

Which WM are you using?
if using kde then you need to add a loging option for root.
if using gnome then at the login screen the just type in
root and hit enter
then typein the password and hit enter.

Why do you want to log in as root? You usually don't in the sense that bsm2001 is referring to. Usually you open a terminal, type "su", put in the root password, do the couple of things you need to do, then type "exit"

To circumvent the "command not found" error msg, try logging in at the prompt as follows:

su -

Yea, as mengle said, it's safer to just login via a terminal...
