Will it even work under Linux anymore?
I am looking to spend $10-$15 including shipping, preferrably $10.
I also have an old Sony Diskman that I think works, though it has no skip protection, and an old Sharp Wizard with 1MB of memory (5600 I think is the model number) I am willing to trade.

Try ebay.com

I see no reason for a 5.25 floppy not to work under Linux. I don't know much about the operation of floppy drives, but I would presume that if you were going to have any problems, it would be with your BIOS support rather than the OS

A friend of mine just happened to mention to be that he had one of those dinosaurs. I'll let you know if he still has it.

I only really need one. Why do you ask? Are you trying to unload some?

You might want to tell us the city, state/province, country you live in.

I have a couple of 5 1/4 drives. You can have one for $5 if you can personally pickup in downtown Toronto.

I've got a box of them somewhere. I'll have to look and see. I'll get back to you.
