Hey guys, I have a windows 2000 machine setup as a router on a small network of 5 computers. Mandrake 7 is on the rest of the computers. I want to share files between them. Any way this can be done?

Thanks!

I have a small win2k network at home, and the linux box that I am typing this reply on shares files with those win2k boxes using Samba - which is basically a way of getting your machines to communicate via smb.

There is a great NHF right here on this site. I also found red hat's help pages useful and there is an Oreilly book that is open and available free as HTML.

I also found the SMB howto to be helpful

If you cant tell by all of the links that I had to dig up, I had a bit of an ordeal getting mine up and running. Not sure why because all of these help files mention that it is pretty easy. Oh well. good luck.
