Compusa has a decent sale on Friday night 6 pm to 12 am

compusa (http://www.compusa.com/default.asp?N=0) is having a 6 hour sale tonight (Friday March 19 6 PM to 12 AM) The reason I'm pointing it out is that PNY 2700 and 2100 250 MB ddr is $19.99 after instant savings and mail in rebate, 8X DVD +/- R/RW writer (Buslink, which means it's probably a Liteon) $79.99 after savings/rebate, WD 160GB 7200rpm/8MB cache ATA/100 $59.99 after savings/rebates.
Thought it would be a good heads up for those with extra money since the prices are pretty decent. They close at 5 PM and re-open at 6 PM. Are they in Canada too? I guess then they wouldn't be "Compusa" but "Comp-up-there" ! :)

Not that I know of though it they were, the name would be 'Comp-in-the-best-country'. ;)

Not bad prices though. I recently bought a LG 8x DVD +/- R/RW writer up here for $140 Cdn which is a good deal compared to other stores in Toronto.

Certainly do and the reason why I quit buying computer hardware/software at Future Shop. I found with the rebates, you end up paying the tax on the full amount and then you either had to wait for a few months to receive the rebate or didn't get the rebate at all. Now I shop elsewhere.
