Well -- I've set up my Linux box so everyone in the house can use it. Everyone here (except me) only uses the computer for:

1) Checking email
2) Playing on the WEB
3) Word Processing

Now here's what I want to do: I have created a guest account. I don't want this account to be able to access any menus or any commands.

I have set up links on the desktop for Netscape, StarOffice, xTerm and a few random games.

--------

Here's what I need to know: How do I set it up so that when the next person logs onto the "guest" account, the account is "reset" to appear exactly the way I set it up?

(Does this question make sense to anyone? If not, I'll try to rewrite it :) )

Thanks in advance for your help!

hello,
i would use fvwm and edit all the menus so one can't bering up an xterm or use utilities which can maek big changes. because netescape uses a cache you may wnat to have a login script which does a rm -rf ~/.netscape/cache and set all the prerferences to be read only.
