I am running a dual cpu box on Debian 2.2 with a custom 2.4.2 custom kernel. The system is running in SMP mode (both cpus show in /proc/cpuinfo), but top only shows 1 cpu. I'd like to be able to see the load on each cpu individually. I had Mandrake 7.2 installed briefly, and the top showed both cpus, so I know it can be done. Can anyone tell me how I can accomplish this?

I'm not sure if top needs to be recompiled for the 2nd cpu to show in it's menu but there is a top like program that can output data from smp enabled kernels.Just do a search on fm (http://freshmeat.net).Hope this helps.
