I just installed RH 7.1 on a home-brew Intel based system using SCSI controller/drive. Install is successful but when it boots up the first time, the system hangs at "configure kernel parameters".
Anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
I haven't run across that particular error, so the only idea I can offer, if you haven't done so already, is to do a Google search (http://www.google.com) using the keyphrase "configure kernel parameters" (include the quotes). I would guess that your kernel is having a problem with a piece of hardware, perhaps the SCSI controller, and needs to have some parameters passed to it (or needs to be recompiled) in order to properly support the device. If you post a more detailed description of your system configuration; someone with greater "Penguin Powers" than I might spot the problem.
