My morning starts with www.spaceweather.com, which stays open all day in it's own browser tab.

I then open a second tab, and go through the following sequence:

www.justlinux.com
www.newsforge.com
http://slashdot.org/
www.groklaw.net

People still read slashdot!?

Nasty... reading crap on that site is worse for your brain than a bowl full of crystal meth. Not only are their summaries usually completely wrong, not only does their slashdot effect totally cripple legitimate sites, but their comments system is totally screwed up to.

i.e. when they post an article by Rob Enderle (funny how they alway point out how wrong he is, but for some reason feel compelled to repeat his idiotic drivel each time he opens his mout. Then, on the comments, "Enderle is just a complete idiot, we should just replace him with a big switch marked OFF and be done with it" gets modded as -1 Fecal Matter Troll, while a comment on why his eye color is blue gets modded up as +5 Informative.

anyway, here's the sites I visit:

http://www.alistapart.com
http://www.glish.com
http://www.php.net
http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/
http://www.perlmonks.com
http://www.groklaw.net /* gotta have the daily SCO news */
http://www.oscommerce.com
http://www.eweek.com /* lots of good news tha, when slashdotted, their summar
ends with "good read" */
http://www.alternet.org /* a little extremist at times, but good stuff */
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=scox /* interesting place as of late... keep hitting refresh and
watch that stock plummet. ;) */

Working as a graphics/web guy, mine are probably a little off the beaten path but quite cool:

Shadowness (http://www.shadowness.com)
Renderosity (http://www.renderosity.com)

Both are online artist communities.

I first scroll through the freshmeat.net homepage to see what Linux apps are new/upgraded. Next I check my work email using Groupwise web access since I'm at home on short term disability and then it's off to JustLinux.
