First of all, I'm pretty much a newbie.

I'm trying to install RedHat 9 on my system (ASUS A7V8X-RAID (Promise FastTrak 376 RAID Controller Chip)).

Read this site:

http://www.fys.ku.dk/~esban/promise376.html

I need someone to make me a "rawrite" compatible floppy disk image formatted with the ext2 file system and with the insmod file and the ft3xx.o file on it.

Can someone please make this image file for me and either e-mail it to whiteshadow@rapworld.com or upload it somewhere and post the link.

Thanks in advance,

WS6

Edit:
Alternativley: Can someone tell me where to download a copy of insmod that is compatible with RH9 and a FAT12toEXT2 converter.

Hey WhiteShadow6,

Check your dosutils directory on the RH cd. It should have rawrite on it.

Also, I believe that particular cd is BOOTABLE, so by setting your cdrom drive to be a boot device before your hard drive (that is done in the bios btw), the cd will boot, and start the installer.

Trying to be as nice as possible about this knute, but if actually read my question you'll see that the response you've given is utterly of no use to me and does not help me with my problem at all.

I know the CD is bootable and I have rawrite. My problem is that the HDD i want to install RH9 onto is on a RAID controller and RH9 doesn't support this RAID controller straight out of the box, thus i need to install the "driver" before the setup program begins. Understand?
