Hey there!

Wow...got Linux up and running full force now. Windows exists for the sole purpose of playing Counterstrike. :D

Now, I have been installing my programs, uninstalling programs, etc, etc. Just doing a general cleanup of my system. Now, I downloaded LimeWire, and it's default installation is to my /home/dninja directory. I don't want to do that. I want to make it so LimeWire is accessable for any user. Where should I put this if I want that to happen. I'm thinking it is somewhere under /usr, maybe /usr/bin, but 'dninja' doesn't have privileges to put the file there. Should I install it as root...or would dninja not be able to access it then? Any help would be appreciated.

ALSO - StarOffice. Yeah, I know, this question is asked a lot. But, I've already done my homework and I can't find the answer to this question. (BTW - The NHF on this site needs to be updated...does not apply to StarOffice 5.2) How do I go about installing StarOffice so it is accessible by all users. I guess this is kind of like my LimeWire question.

Thank you for your help. ;) I'm officially a Linux addict.

I usually install stuff like that in /usr/local/ somwhere and then make a symlink in /usr/local/bin to the executable. Doing so, it seems to be executable by everybody.

I believe in SO 5.2 you tack on either -net or /net to the filename.bin while in SO 6 Beta the network install option is available during the install process.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
