Linux Main Distros

Dear all,

I wish to ask everyone abt linux distros -- what are the distros that are

1) free (indicate that it is free!)
2) Easy to use for newbies
3) main distro that cause impact
4) has a GUI installation (just note that in bracket form, even if it doesn't have any)

please rank them by your order of preference, and please post in mind that this is posted for newbies.

This is not to spark off another round of distro wars... Just list those that are quite main but is not posted yet. Please be kind enough to state the means to get that distro, esp. if it is free.
