does anyone knows how to totally format the linux6.2. exspecially the LILO. beczo i need to install the win98 on the same PC.
please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get rid of Lilo? Boot from dos/windows bootdisk that contains 'fdisk.exe' and type 'fdisk /mbr'.

You can also use fdisk to delete your ext2 partitions. Select non-dos partitions.

...need to know a little bit more about your setup...
...sounds like Linux is the only thing on your HD?
...if so you will need to repartition. M$ does not like to be anywhere other than hda1.
M$ fdisk usually does not deal with ext2 partitions well.
boot into Linux and "fdisk \dev\hda"
"p" will give you a list of partitionds it finds.
use "d" do delete each one at a time.
use "p" to check yer work. When thet are all gone..."w" to write the new partitions to disk.
reboot with your M$ floppy or CD and install...you will need to repartition with fdisk again....format and install...
