this must be a common problem??

So I download netscape 6.2, finally figure out how to unpackage it and start the install process.. So it finishes the download and then does a full install.. The readme says to run ./netscape where you installed it... well I left it at the default which I thought was /usr/home or /home/usr (can't remember off top of head)..

Indead there is netscape in that directory.. so I launch it and it brings up the old version 4.6 or somethin.. so I do a search for netscape and find like 4 instances of it.. every single one is the old version...

Did I install wrong? Or am i just missing something>?

any help would really be great.

thank you..

Try to figure out where the install directory was. I doubt it was /usr/home or /home/usr since these directories shouldn't exist (unless Netscape decided to try something different). More likely, look in /usr/local or /usr/share and see if you can find it there. If you still can't, rerun the installation program and take note of where the installation directory is.
