I have L-M8.0, I've downloaded the 2nd ISO, I'm now downloading the 1st, but what do I do when I have them? I burn them on a cd and just enter the cd and start the cd? Or do I put diskdrive as 1st boot device in my BIOS and then just run my computer?

No idea how Mandrake works, but pop the CD in, start the boot up, and it will probably ask you if you want to Install or Upgrade.

I was running LM8.0 and I just switched to Slack8.0 through isos. All I did was put in the install disc and follow the directions. Depending on what you have, it should see that you already have a linux partition and then all you have to do is format, but not fdisk. That's what happened to me, anyway.
The only thing that bugs me is that I have two more discs that I don't know what to do with.

the Drake installer will most definitly ask you if you want to reinstall or upgrade your existing instalation.

Be warned that an upgrade will most likely take much longer than an install.

And may not work judging from the experience of others that have posted here.
Upgrading from what?
Set your bios to boot from cd first, plop in the install cd and there you go.
