thanks guys for helping me out...i just went out and bought a book on red hat...so ill be using red hat now and not mandrake...ill see what i can do and if i get stuck ill come back and ask...just that i had no tutorials at all...the NHF's werent helping(???) i know..odd...its me...but thanks everyone...

also one last question...i was going to dual boot...what OS is better to install first? thanks

Winodws, becuase when it install it overwrites you mbr. SO if you install windows second you would lose lilo.

Yeah nice of 'em huh? :p Just as a sidenote, if you find you like Drake better, it's identical to RedHat and your RedHat book will work with Mandy too.

With the wealth of Linux documentation available on the web? How-to's, Redhat's site, free online books available etc.

There seems to be more out there than for Windows.
