this is kinda weird. but i dont know if any on ehas ever experienced this problem b4. i use RH 9 and it never allowed playing Mp3s so i downloaded the latest version of xmms and i installed. i can now play mp3s. but the funny thing is , as soon as i installed xmms, my keyboard stopped being detected. actually it is detected, but but i cant type anything, unless i press hard on the key or press twice. when iam workin in windows, the keyboard is fine. anybody faced that b4?

I've never seen anything like that posted here at JL.

Did you install the RH9 specific xmms rpm package or did you install from source?

You could check your system logfiles in /var/log to see if you can find anything keyboard related.

By any chance, you didn't force the install did you? Specifically, did you use ---nodeps by any chance?
