Trying to figure this one out. Was running web sites fine this AM. SSH would time out though.

Tonight, SSH and Apache are both failing. Any thoughts?

Apache is just timing out; SSH is returning an error: ssh_exchange_identification: connection closed by host.

Dunno what the deal is... With a 2.4GHz machine, a 40GB hard drive and 512 MB RAM, does anybody see any likely issues with performance with only 70 web sites spread across 8 IPs? thanks!!

I'm having this exact issue all of a sudden. Did you have a resolution to your issue?

This particular issue is so ancient I don't even remember posting it. I might have still been running Mandrake at the time (seems likely, else I'd have posted to a BSD forum). I abandoned running my commercial web servers on linux, and switched over to FreeBSD; no issues since. That's not to say that BSD is superior; might have just been version issues, or it might have been something that I resolved in Linux-land before switching altogether... I really don't even begin to remember, unfortunately...
