well, obviously from the title you can tell that I am having problems fixing my radeon card. It is a 320m card. I have successfully patched the agpgart in my kernel but am having troubles patching the xserver. I have gotten my instructions from http://rzr.online.fr/docs/comp/gfxcard.htm and it is very specific about how to patch it until it gets to the part about patching the parser. I ran the patch they provided and it said that the hunks failed. I compiled anyways (sometimes hunks fail and it works) but I got the error they said I would. I tried downloaded a pre-patched rpm and I had the same issue. I have compiled it several times with different settings and different versions and following the instructions on this site I can get the farthest. Any advice?

Are you using the exact same source version for your X server that they're using (i.e. the 41 meg download named XFree86-4.3.99.14.tar.bz2)? If not, the patch will most likely fail.

You are patching the XFree86 source tree, right? (hey, you never know...)

Yup, I got the one they said from their site. I even copied and pasted the wget command.

Well, the new version of xfree86 seems to have implemented better drivers for my card. Thanks..Ironic, I spend hours trying to compile something then they release new drivers for it then next day.
