Avatar 04-10-2001, 03:36 PM This, from Linux Games, might help: Ashridah sent in the following: Debian users are finally able to apt-get nvidia's drivers (after a fashion) when Christopher L Cheney (ccheney@debian.org) uploaded his first version of his nvidia packages ever since the drivers were released by nvidia, debian users have had to suffer through paging through mountains of documentation, but now, it's as simple as # apt-get install nvidia-kernel-src nvidia-glx-src then just build the normal packages (provided you have a normal kernel source tree) and it will give you a fully working install, that can even have Mesa's headers and utilities upgrade without problems! should make for the shortest howto ever (barring troubleshooting :) ) mindwarp.out 04-10-2001, 05:02 PM I am running debian with it with no problems... I just compiled my own kernel with make-kpkg (more /usr/share/kernel-package/README or something along those lines) and then just cd NVIDIA-KERNELBLAH then 'make SYSINCLUDE=/usr/src/linux/include' then cd ../NVIDIA_GLXblah then make then put my driver in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 as nvidia and uncomment the Load GLX line...
