Hey everyone. I am having some trouble getting Qt installed. First off, I am running RedHat 7.0, and have basically a fresh install of it. I have downloaded both the source file, and the .rpm for the newest version of Qt. First, I tried to just do a ./configure, and make the source, but then it turned out I didnt have a new enough compiler or something (I talked with one of the guys at Licq.com, that's what he said anyways)... And then I downloaded the RPM from rpmfind.net. Now when I try to install the downloaded .rpm, it gives me a dependency error. It says "qt-2.2.1-1 requires libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3. I am really new to this whole dependencies thing, and am really dumbfounded by this... Could someone please help me out here? I really don't know what files I need and how to go about getting them...
So, in summary, here are my questions:
How can I get Qt installed? Would it be easier to upgrade my compiler? If so, how do I do that? Remember, I am a total newbie, so go slow for me... :-)
Thanks.
