The most recent slackware will always be slackware current! Check the changelog.

Right now 7.1 is the latest version, but you will find references to 7.2, which is being worked on, but has not been officially released as stable. Right now, they are still deciding what packages to included. The biggest new addition was Xfree86 4.0.2. As of now, it still uses the 2.2.18 kernel.
